Dead Tunes is a story of a pop-punk rock band of the same name. Starting in the early 2020's, it's about a band of four misfits who aim to find great success in the music industry through: their passion and love for the medium of music, love and care for one another by setting aside their differences and working togehter through their problems, and their ability to fight.
This world's music industry requires musicians who signed to a major music label to have physical battles with weapons against opposing musicians. Almost the entire industry is monopolised by a company called "Locke" who provides services and goods to musicians, owns most major record labels, and looks over the worldwide charts. The higher a musician or group is on the charts, the more benefits they recieve from Locke.
While the story centers around four characters, THE main characater is a young girl called Vanessa Adams. She has to hide a secret from everyone, a secret that she is immortal. No matter how big the damage done on her body was, it will always put itself back together, she has died multiple times throughout her lifetime, but never remembers how the afterlife looks like. Her powers also sometimes freak out and her body will suddenly recieves bruises which range from small to her dying out of nowhere.

TRIVIA: The creepy girl in the group, she doesn't talk to stragers, unless she really has too, and is generally known for her off-putting stare. She grew up in a small and isolated town in Nevada's desert, and was homeschooled her whole life, so her understanding of social cues is horrible. She often makes very blunt remarks, does things that anger others when she didn't mean it, will say things which may seem innapropriate for the situation, and does not understand special social etiquette. This behaviour has sparked some controversy amongst the public, as some people view her as a flat out rude person, but her fans defend her saying she is misunderstood, authentic and "literally me". She is seemingly always in her own world, gets lost in thought and talks to herself a lot. She originally wanted to have a solo career in music, but through a small misadveture after a series of failures she meets "Dead Tunes" who are looking for a new lead guitarist, and she agreed to join them. It took her some time to get used spending so much time with other people and not being in complete control over her music career, but she eventually got there. She is incredebly talented at music, especially guitar, she always gives her best on stage and is always finding way to improve her skills, but she doesn't have many interests and hobbies outside of music. She likes collecting cd's and vinyls and analysing the music she listens to. She enjoys tinkering and building little gadgets that she sometimes uses in battle. She enjoys activities that excersise her brain, like puzzles and reading. Outside of those things she doesn't really do much else. The one big goal in life is to reach the top ten in the worldwide music charts and be forever remembered as a geat musician. She doesn't know much about her power, how did she get them and the full extent of her abilities, she doesn't even know if she will ever die. That makes her feel obligated to do the most with her life as she achieve great success that will make her remembered forever.
RANDOM FACT: She doesn't have a left eye, it fell out during an accident that caused her first death and it never came back to her due to getting stuck.

TRIVIA: The cool, pretty, charismatic, outspoken, yet controvertial frontgirlie of the group, the face and name Her family moved from Osaka to Chicago when she was really young. She never had close friends outside of her brother growing up, other kids viewed her as weird due to her unsual behaviour, as she would constantly repeat the same jokes, say out of pocket things, be unaware of personal spaces, and etc. This caused other kids to either avoid her or bully her by pulling dumb pranks on her. Her reaction was to fight back against her bullies even if it meant physically hurting others. She was a difficult child to deal with and a lot of it carried into adulthood, she is very arrogant, short-tempered and will do anything to get her way. Those traits caused her to be at the center of a couple of controversies, most of which boil down to her causing trouble and being rude about it, at least her bandmates are there to help her out in these situations. The most important person in her life is her little brother, she always made sure to keep him safe throughout their entire lives and he is the one person she could trully comfortable around. Briar suffers from massive trust issues, she will easily jump into conclusions about other, find all the reasons to dislike them, and become hostile around them. This made it hard for her to become friends with Keith and Vanessa at first, but she eventually softened. She deeply cares about the freedom of selfexpression and wants everyone to be able to do art for art's sake, and while she may be a bit judgemental she does want to find value in all artworks that she sees. Her main goal as a musician is to be able to express herself in any way and to inspire others to do the same. She has a strong sense of justice, where if see believes that someone is corrupt, she will do anything in her power to punish them. She is very critical of authority groups, believes most of them to be corrupt and is utterly frustrated that she can stop them most of the time. She has a distain for Locke in particular, as she believes that most of their practices are harmful and already thinks lowly of Monopolies. She loves fashion, she has a huge collection of clothes she thrifted and make on her own and loves whenether she has the opportunity to dress up and style someone else, while she is critical of high fashion she still engages with it as she wants to see the amazing designs that people make. She has a hobby for making zines, she will usually just grab a piece of paper, 2-3 markers, and make whatever even if it sucks. Her zines consist off: things she wants to rant about, stuff relating to fahsion, a random thing she really likes, something that recently happened to her, or lyrics to a song with visuals. She is very sporty, and often does physical training and excersise.
RANDOM FACT: She used to dress Roy up in cute outfits when they were kids which massively annoyed him.

Like, if I'm gonna go out there and get my ass kicked by a dude with a weapon which just bearly abides the rules, then I at least should not pay for my medical treatment as much as I did yesterday. Like for fuck's sake if anything horrible happens to my arms then I can't play, AT ALL."
